DWF Files

Austodesk have pioneered this format for viewing CAD drawings inside web pages. IntelliCAD can export DWF files. This file format is useful as Internet Explorer and other browsers (with the benefit of a free plug-in from Autodesk) can view this type of files. Once installed, the view below shows when you open a DWF file from a browser. Note that markup and measuring tools are available to the user examining your drawing in DWF format. We find that clients like the presence of measuring tools.

IntelliCAD can open DWF files directly as shown in the figure below. In this particular case, we have used the preferences command to set the background colour to white so that we can see the image better. 

Tip: to open a DWF file, you need to change the Files of type setting in the open file dialog box.
