VBA will not run

If you have loaded a trial version of IntelliCAD software from another vendor before installing a copy of CMS IntelliCAD Pro (with VBA capability) you may find that you are unable to run your VBA application. The solution is to uninstall the trial version, then re-install CMS IntelliCAD Pro.

Print preview problem

Print preview from layout space (when large external reference files are attached) goes into an endless loop and keeps redisplaying the print preview. This 'bug' can be overcome by saving the drawing and reloading the drawing. Print preview then behaves as normal.

Setting a path

You may find that IntelliCAD puts the path to a new directory at the end of the path statement when you browse to a new folder. We recommend browsing, accept the psoition that IntelliCAD puts the path in to begin with. Then edit the path statement later, moving the new path to the beginning. In the example below, we have set a new path to a template folder.

Linetype not displayed correctly

Even though you may have set the linetype properties of an entity or layer correctly, a (dashed) line may not display correctly. Check the value of the LTSCALE system variable. Try using the REGEN or REGENALL commands after changing the value.

DRAWORDER command not working correctly

We belive that there s a bug in the implementation of the DRAWORDER command. If you select an entity and use the command, select the front option does not display the selected entity on top of other entities.

A. This is a bug and the ITC programmers are working of a fix.

CANNOT ZOOM IN

The Mouse wheel zoom does not work – you may lose the drawing as you zoom in. This is due to the ZOOMFACTOR value not being set correctly - it should default to a value near 60, not a high number (in the thousands).

Solution: Type the system variable ZOOMFACTOR in the command line, presss enter and change the value to 60 and zooming should work normally.

GHOST ELEMENTS

Q. A strange ghosting line appears when copying and moving entities. Does this mean that unwanted entities are placed in the drawing?

A. This is normal - you are seeing the tracking guide. If this is a probelem, turn off tracking via drawing settings and the problem will go away.

SIACAD Version 6.6.58

DRAWORDER command faulty - known bug - await next version of IntelliCAD.

Status line

Labels in status line not showing - solution: resize the window. The labels will show on the update.

SIACAD Version 6.6.57

Cannot size IntelliCAD window.

The window in which IntelliCAD runs cannot be sized. Solution: Minimize the window and then stretch the window back out to its normal size. the status line will then show correctly.

Display problem

If you open a drawing in which the drafter has set lineweights (instead of relating line weight to colour and converting line weights using a PCP file at plot time), you may see a poor display, especially if the drawing is crowded. Solution: turn off line weight display by double clicking on the LWT tab in the status line at the bottom of the screen.

Print preview not working properly

Under some operating systems and some versions of IntelliCAD, this does not work as expected and the preview appears for a short space of time. Solution - try upgrading to 6.6.58 and using Print Preview from the file menu rather than from the print box.

SIACAD Version 6.4

Circles not displaying correctly - Version 6.4.32

The VIEWRES system variable controls this. Type VIEWRES in the command line. The default setting should be something like 64, not 16. Once done, your circles wil display smoothly.

UCS icon sits in the centre of the screen - Version 6.4.32

By default, the UCS icon is placed at the drawing origin which in most implemetations of IntelliCAD will be at 0,0. It is often better to place the icon at the corner of the screen. To do that, type UCSICON in the command line and choose the Corner option.

Hyperlink command not implemented - Version 6.4

Solution: Upgrade to 6.6.58
