Custom Menus
It is possible to create your own 'drop down' menus in IntelliCAD. These 'custom' menus can make CAD work highly productive.
The figure below shows that we have incorporated a new drop down menu called Auto*Set into the IntelliCAD environment. Selecting the menu item calls an AutoLISP routine which reads the intended plot scale value, sets a layer for text, the style, height etc.

IntelliCAD offers a very easy mechanism for creating, saving and exporting these custom menus. If you select Tools>Customize a dialog box appears.
The first tab in this box provides a convenient set of tools for editing menus.
Tip: The button on the extreme right is used to re-set the default menus if you have lost them. This can happens when you accept a drawing from an outside source.
Once the menu is complete and working well, the export feature enables you to export an ICAD.icm file which can then be loaded into any copy of IntelliCAD. This beats editing the ACAD.MNU file with a text editor, the accepted way of creating custom menus in AutoCAD. It is possible to load .MNR files from AutoCAD into the IntelliCAD environment.
The use of custom menus allows engineering and architectural companies report significant increases in productivity.
